My name is Barbara Cucini Margheriti, I was born in Siena where I grew up,
in one of the Medieval Contrade of the town, l'Oca – Goose.
After having learned English, French and German at the High School
for Foreign Languages, that foresaw the language acquisition in the home
land, I took an Arts degree and a Foreign Languages and Linguistics degree
at the University of Siena, where I have continued to study as a free
lance researcher in the domain of linguistics and communication.
Since 2001 I'm a member of the CISAI, Interdipartimental Research Center for Native America in Siena.
In 2005 I got the First Level Certificate in LIS, Italian Deaf Language.
In 2006 I worked as teacher of Italian as second language at the "Università per Stranieri" in Siena.
Since 1999 I'm a professional Tour Guide for Siena and the surrounding area –
San Gimignano, Montalcino, Montepulciano, Pienza, Colle Val d'Elsa, Orcia Valley,
Crete Senesi.
Working as a Tour Guide means for me letting people experience a world rich
in History, Art, Traditions, good food, famous wines, through the competence
and the voice of a professional, that is part of this world.
